Pre-Pre-school Techies

Today I arrive at my babysitters and as I open the door I see six kids (ranging from ages 3-7) sitting around the dinner table with a Nitendo DS in their hands setting up Super Mario Cart!  As I walk across the threshold the oldest in the group quickly and efficiently states that Hailey won't be in the race because her mom is here!  I paused for a moment as I just left one techie environment and walked right into another!  My 3 year old is participating in online-social media!  This moment was so awe inspiring for me...we are constantly discussing what a 21st classroom looks like and how our educational system has to change...if today's site isn't proof of that I don't know what is! WOW!  We really need to rethink what our classrooms look like!
