Laptop is on it's way!

I can't believe it!  A local business has agreed to purchase a laptop (a MacBook Pro) for my classroom as well as all the adapters necessary to get my Apple TV up and running so I can wirelessly project the students iPad projects in my classroom.

I have been attending a lot of tech workshops this summer and can't wait to share and use the many resources I have learned about and intend on incorporating into my classroom this year!  Here are just a few I will be using:

  • Actively Learn--used to teach reading comprehension skills
  • Adobe Voice--used for fluency, oral assessments, student presentation
  • Google Classroom--attempting to go paperless; very similar to Edmodo
  • Zaption--video editor in which you can insert questions; another tool for building comprehension
  • Seesaw--used as a eportfolio
  • Epic--resource for listen to read books!  Great for Daily 5 station:  listen to reading
  • FrontRow--aligned with common core math standards; math practice for kids; teacher reports amazing!
It is going to be a great year!
